Terry L. Jones was born in 1953 and grew up in St. Louis. He served in the United States Marine Corps (1972-1974) and received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in history from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 1977. Terry graduated in the top third of his law class at Washington University in 1981 and has practiced law in St. Louis since admission to the bar.

Terry is licensed to practice in all Missouri state courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Bar, the St. Louis County Bar Association, Academy of Professional Family Mediators and the Christian Legal Society.

As a trained Family Law Mediator, Terry brings to every mediation his many years of family law experience, providing a firm basis for working with couples through the difficult decisions regarding their children and the financial matters involved in divorce. The Supreme Court of the State of Missouri lists Terry as a mediator and he is a member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators.

Terry served for 10 years as a board member of Fresh Start Seminars, Inc., a national divorce ministry and was Chairman of the Board of Crossroads Christian Counseling, a not-for-profit counseling organization providing counseling to individuals and families in the St. Louis area. Terry also serves at Ritenour Middle School as a judge in the St. Louis Truancy Court, an intervention program designed to help at-risk children.

As a long-time member of his church, Terry has been a member of the Standing Judicial Commission of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America and served as a board member of Westminster Biblical Missions, a foreign-missions organization whose work includes the construction and funding of schools, clinics, literacy training centers, and seminaries in Pakistan.

Terry and his wife, Irene, have been married since 1973 and have three adult children and two beautiful granddaughters. Mention grandchildren and he will show you some photos!

Carol Rowden is Terry's trusted legal assistant. Carol has been with Terry since 1994 and, in addition to being Terry's assistant and dear friend, Carol is Terry's sister-in-law.
